چکیده
Potato peel is often regarded as waste although it contains phenolic compounds, glycoalkaloids, and flavonoid. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different concentrations potato extracts on viability Human Gingival Fibroblasts (HGF). were prepared by a maceration technique. The 96-well tissue culture micro titre plates seeded with HGF at density 2×104 cells/100 μL incubated for 24 hours. Next, 100 concentration 62.5 μg/mL, 125 250 500 1000 μg/mL medium (control) dispensed into well cell culture. Each was evaluated its 3 replicate samples. results MTT test analyzed statistically using one-way ANOVA LSD test. mean standard deviation viable after extract 98.67% ± 3.56, 88.34% 0.79, 55.42% 3.96, 28.33% 0.60, 26.26% 0.53, respectively. percentage non-viable increased an increase in extract. result showed significant influence various (p<0.05). LSD-test difference among all treatment groups A higher line considered non-cytotoxic.

The experiment was conducted during the period from January to December, 2008 at the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur, Bangladesh. A two step procedure was followed for direct plant regeneration of potato. Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium supplemented with 0.5 mg l -1 IBA and 30 g sugar was used for in vitro potato plants development via noda...
متن کاملIn vitro microtuberization in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars.
Mechanism of microtuberization in three elite cultivars kufri badhsha (KB), kufri chandramukhi (KCM) and kufri jawahar (KJ) of potato was studied. Sprouts of all the three cultivars were used to obtain in vitro shoot cultures. MS medium supplemented with chlorocholine chloride was found to be most suitable for all the cultivars. Maximum tuberization was obtained under incubation conditions of c...

Optimum concentrations of nitrogen and potassium on in vitro microtuberization of Agria, a popular variety of Potato, Solanum tuberosum L., were evaluated. The concentrations of 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 folds of standard concentrations of NH4NO3 (1650 mgl) and KNO3 (1900 mgl) were used in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, and their effects were studied on cell number, cell sizes, and number of amid...
متن کاملInvolvement of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) MKK6 in Response to Potato virus Y
Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades have crucial roles in the regulation of plant development and in plant responses to stress. Plant recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns or pathogen-derived effector proteins has been shown to trigger activation of several MAPKs. This then controls defence responses, including synthesis and/or signalling of defence hormones and act...
